When the COVID-19 pandemic took hold in March 2020 I switched to online lessons as soon as the schools closed.

I was then delighted to return to face to face lessons in September 2020.  I taught behind perspex screens and used two instruments in lessons.  A risk assessment was carried out and all precautions necessary were taken.

During the subsequent lockdown beginning in January 2021 I switched back to online lessons. Happily, on 12th April 2021 I resumed face to face lessons in my home.

For online lessons I use several different communication methods, such as Zoom, FaceTime, WhatsApp video calls, Skype and Messenger Chat.  All of these enable tuition to continue, progress to be made and while they are not ideal they are much better than nothing.
