When the COVID-19 pandemic took hold earlier this year, I switched to online lessons as soon as the schools closed on 20th March.
From 7th September I am returning to face to face lessons in my home. I will be teaching behind perspex screens and using two instruments in lessons. A risk assessment has been carried out and all precautions necessary are being taken.
Should the situation require it, I will switch back to online lessons again without hesitation. During lockdown I used several different communication methods, such as Zoom, FaceTime, WhatsApp video calls, Skype and Messenger Chat. All of these enable tuition to continue, progress to be made and while they are not ideal they are much better than nothing.
